Kairos Prison Ministry
Bringing HopeBehind Bars
We bring the transforming love of Jesus Christ to incarcerated men and women across Canada — meeting each person with grace, compassion, and the reminder that they are deeply loved and never beyond the reach of God's redeeming grace.

The Kairos Program
A Retreat That
Changes Everything
The Kairos Retreat is a three-day Christian retreat held inside correctional facilities across Canada. Trained volunteers from local churches enter the prison to share the unconditional love, grace, and hope of Jesus Christ—freely given, with no strings attached.
Throughout the retreat, we provide opportunities for spiritual renewal and strengthening, sharing the Gospel's message of forgiveness, redemption, and new life through Jesus Christ. Our ministry is rooted in the simple yet powerful principle of Listen, Listen, Love, Love—listening deeply before speaking, and loving unconditionally as Christ first loved us.
The Kairos ministry extends far beyond the weekend retreat. Our volunteers return each month to lead spiritual discussions, encourage continued faith development, and provide a safe, respectful environment where incarcerated individuals can openly explore life's challenges, ask difficult questions, and grow in their relationship with God. Through consistent presence, authentic relationships, and Christ-centered fellowship, we strive to remind every participant that they are seen, valued, forgiven, and never beyond the reach of God's transforming love.
How You Can Help
There Is a Place for You
Volunteer
New volunteers are welcomed into Kairos with care, preparation, and prayerful support. Before entering any correctional facility, all volunteers complete the required Correctional Service Canada training, as well as Kairos Ministry training, to ensure they are properly prepared for this sacred work. In addition, team-building sessions are held before each three-day Kairos Retreat, helping volunteers grow together in trust, unity, and spiritual readiness. After the retreat, volunteers are also invited to return to the facility on a monthly basis to continue walking alongside participants through spiritual encouragement, discussion, and strengthening. The only prerequisites are a Christian faith, an open mind, and a willing heart to serve others with humility, compassion, and the unconditional love of Christ.
Become a VolunteerDonate
Behind every prison wall is a child of God waiting to be reminded that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten. Through your prayers, your generosity, or your willingness to serve, you become part of Christ's mission of reconciliation, bringing His love where there is loneliness, His hope where there is despair, and His forgiveness where shame has taken root. Together, we proclaim a simple but life-changing truth: No one is beyond the reach of God's grace. Will you answer His call and help bring the transforming love of Jesus Christ behind the walls?
Give TodayFamily Support
When incarceration touches someone you love, it touches your whole family. The uncertainty, heartache, and isolation can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to walk this journey alone. At Kairos, we believe that God's love extends beyond every prison wall. We are here to offer prayer, encouragement, and a Christ-centered community where families can find hope, healing, and strength. Together, we trust in the promise that no life is beyond the reach of God's grace, and no family is beyond His love.
